New paths call for innovationA cultivation method that is even less common in Germany is substrate cultivation using rack systems. Our neighbors in the Netherlands are leading the way—rows of strawberries in substrate containers at waist height. The strawberry plantations, which are always covered by greenhouses, are fully protected against all weather conditions and pests. This cultivation method is also gaining ground in Germany. We already offer specialized machinery for installing the substrate trough posts and for substrate preparation.
